City of Death Chapter 2It was the creature’s presence in the room, not the sound it made that awoke me. I rose from the couch and pinned the monster to the floor before it had any chance to attack. I twisted it’s head to the side and snapped it’s neck, then walked to the window and parted the draperies. I could see the last rays of orange and pink playing across what would soon be the night sky. The city was now lit more by fire than electricity. I looked back at the lifeless body on the floor. “Perfect timing, friend.” “Right,” I said, and dove through the window. There was nothing left alive here, but screams, smasCity of Death Chapter 2

City of DeathI'm looking down at his body. Soaked in blood. It's splattered on my shirt and pants and drenching my boots. My hands are covered in it. Blood has such a lovely color. I love the way it shines when light hits it. I crouch there marveling at its color for a moment, almost mesmerized. Then I come back to reality. I have to do something with this body. Or do I? GloomSitting in this gloom, Waiting for my doom. Knowing it is near, As it whispers in my ear. Laughter fills my head, A cold, mad laughter I dread. A laughter that tells of uselessness, And death and lifelessness. Now it tells tails of strife, All from this useless thing called life. But then all is quiet, And the room is suddenly violet. Would you? I wouldWould you die for a friend? Would you die for a brother? Would you die for someone you've never met? Would you die for me?Would you? I would
I would die for you...
why?
Because I love you...
There is no catch, no clause...
I will always love you, and for that I would give my life for you...
Someone once asked me, if you could do something to change the world what would you do? I never had an answer.
I now know...
My life is yours...
No innocent man shall die by the hands of another...
